I hope everyone remembered to set their clocks forward an hour (after the kids woke up, of course).
We took the opportunity of a moderately mild night yesterday to grill some steaks.
Simply salt and pepper the steaks, throw them on the grill. While they grill, melt half a stick of butter. Stir 1/8 tsp garlic powder, 1 TBSP chopped fresh parsley and a dash or two of dried oregano into the butter. Right when the steaks come off the grill, baste with the butter mixture and then let the steaks rest while you grill asparagus, because SPRING BABY!!!
And…..then this morning it snowed. Oh well, back inside. So what to do, what to do?
Made Banana Granola from Two Peas and Their Pod because I had a very mushy banana. I liked the prior Gingerbread Granola a little better, but this is good too and a good use of a brown banana. The only thing I changed was adding an additional teaspoon of white sugar. I used gluten free oats and look forward to sprinkling this into my yogurt tomorrow.
Got Drummer Boy ready to go to his friend Shane’s sports themed birthday party (everyone had to wear a jersey – thanks Duxbury Guilfoiles):
Made Cuban Sliders from Bev Cooks.
And, for the final touch, took Smitten Kitchen’s advice and made a chocolate cake, for no reason at all:
So good eve to you all, says Guitar Boy from his Colonial Williamsburg event:
